Disease, a pandemic, a health crisis
Yet, we still rise
Church buildings closed, online worship
Yet, we still rise
Economic downturn, unemployment upturn
Yet, we still rise
Racism and hate crimes increasing
Yet, we still rise
A harsh winter, wild fires, tornados
Yet, we still rise
A trial, a crucifixion, a resurrection
Yet we still rise centuries later
Our God is a resurrecting God
Christ is risen!
We still rise in the midst of a hurting world
to bear witness to
Easter hope, love and joy!
An Easter Prayer
Resurrecting God in the midst of all we face,
you are faithful,
renewing us for a new day,
resurrecting us in this and the next life.
Today we thank you for resurrecting Jesus.
Through the risen Christ we pray. Amen.
