Who knows? He may turn, change his mind and leave a blessing behind him.”
(Joel:2:14a, CJB)
EPA’s North District and Congregational Development Team (CDT) invite you to a conversation with Bishop Will Willimon to discuss his latest release: Changing My Mind: The Overlooked Virtue for Faithful Ministry.
A former bishop in the North Alabama Conference, as well as chaplain and professor at Duke University, Willimon attempts in this book to provide an encouraging word for today’s Church arising out of his many years of ministry, tackling a host of ministerial subjects like preaching, leadership, pastoral care, and biblical interpretation. He contends that a living God demands constant movement and change; thus, some of our current assumptions about how to persevere in ministry ought to be questioned. What ideas and approaches do we need to reconsider? And how, exactly, do we change our minds and practices when we are called to be steady, stable, and sure?
If these thoughts resonate in your context, we invite you to join us for this special event. This is a free, ZOOM-only gathering taking place on Friday, February 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
