The United Methodist Church in Madison is seeking a part time associate pastor to help our faith community further its legacy of growing disciples. We are a part of the Reconciling Ministries Network and maintain our Wesleyan identity as United Methodists. We have close ties to Drew University and its Theological School and continue to connect our campus with Drew’s. We also seek to grow our footprint in Madison and reach people who are looking to do church differently.
Applicants should bring a sense of curiosity and creativity to the position. Living in a post-COVID era, we are looking to find new ways of connecting and ministering with our communities. The position will allow new ministry to be created in ways which are thoughtful and utilize the connections within the church. The goal is that you will be able to help unlock the potential of God within the community as a dynamic leader.
Interested applicants should email the church a copy of your resume, a call statement, and a cover letter sharing the gifts you bring to ministry as well as answering these questions:
1. What are 3 things you know well enough you can teach them to someone else?
2. What are 3 things you would like to learn that you don’t already know?
