GNJ Selects New Director of Worship

Eric Drew has been selected as the new Director of Worship of the United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey, effective July 1.

He is a passionate musician, coach, and worship planner. In 2014 he launched www.BasileiaMovement.com, a website for church leaders, and published the eBook, “Contextual Worship: 4 Steps to Reach Your Community.” He has served at Simply Grace UMC and most recently as the worship pastor of Cross Point Church, a multi-site UMC in Harrisburg, Pa. He has also worked as a professional musician and spent extensive time in Honduras as a missionary. Eric loves creativity, team building, and engaging worship experiences. Eric and his wife Dulce have twin daughters, Claire and Emily.

The Director of Worship inspires, leads and coordinates the growth in theological understanding of worship, exploration of forms and technologies for worship, deepening passion within worship and increasing in the number of worshipers within GNJ congregations, as well as coordinates the worship life of GNJ.
