The Greater New Jersey Conference Board of Church and Society is accepting Peace with Justice Grant applications until July 15 to support ministries of advocacy, social action and public policy education for mercy and justice. Grants are funded by the Peace with Justice Offering received by United Methodist churches.
One-half of the offering received in GNJ is retained to support ministries in our area. Visit the grants web page to learn more and to access the 2023 GNJ Peace with Justice Application.
The other half of the offering supports Peace with Justice ministries nationally and globally through the UMC’s Board of Church and Society. The 2023 observance of Peace with Justice Sunday was June 4; but churches are encouraged to celebrate it and receive the offering whenever convenient. Promotional resources are available that explain why we give and the impact we make through our connectional support.
Applications for GNJ grants may be submitted by churches, groups and agencies closely related to the conference. Apply by July 15. Contact Jonathan Campbell with questions.
