Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the CFO, Accounting Team, Benefits Manager, and the Property Manager so that activities are completed on time, accurately, and with excellence.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare written correspondence and file materials for all organizations and committees associated with the Finance, Benefits and Property teams so that there is an electronic filing system that staff can access easily, and all work is done with excellence
  • Assist Property Manager to identify and continually update a network of approved contractors by region so that repairs to conference properties are done with excellence and in a timely manner
  • Assist Property Manager with all activities related to preparing a closed church for sale, including but not limited to contacting utility companies, coordinating repairs/maintenance, file retrieval at the local church
  • Prepare materials and reports for the Council on Finance and Administration, Board of Trustees, and Board of Pension meetings so that materials are prepared accurately and emailed one week prior to meetings

Qualification

  • Three or more years in an office or similar work environment
  • Competent and skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to navigate and learn various database systems

Education 

  • High school degree with some college or related experience

Travel

  • The position requires occasional travel to local churches within Greater New Jersey, if necessary
  • The position works remotely and from the main office located in Neptune, NJ
