Christ UMC in Piscataway, NJ is hiring a part time Director of Music Ministry. We are a beautifully
diverse, multicultural, and spirit-filled congregation. Candidate should have a vision for the future of a
church community with a rich history of traditional, contemporary and gospel music styles, and have a
focus on attracting young adults and new families. Candidate will have oversight of all music related
ministries including services, programs, choirs, and events, will recruit and manage hired supplemental
directors, singers, and instrumentalists, and will recruit volunteers to assist with Children and Youth
choirs and programs. Candidate will plan weekly worship in conjunction with the Sr. Pastor and will
attend staff meetings, 2-3 General Leadership Board meetings annually, and one on one meetings with the
pastor. The position will report directly to the Senior Pastor and Executive Leadership board.

The job will be a flexible hybrid schedule with required minimum 2 hours on Sunday mornings. Hours
per week will vary between 15-20 depending on season, church events, and need. Salary range $25-35k
annually. All initial offers are contingent upon approval of our Leadership board after a full background
check and Safe Sanctuary training are completed and reviewed. Please send your resume with
