St. John’s United Methodist Church, a multicultural mid-sized church in Hazlet, NJ, is currently seeking a part-time Director of Music/ Church Musician to join our staff.
Job Type: Part time (12 hours/week)
Job summary:
- Provide oversight, direction and coordination of all musical elements of worship including developing, leading, and directing a worship team.
- Serve as organist and piano/keyboard accompanist for above group
- Work with Pastor in worship planning.
- Conduct weekly rehearsals.
- Play Sunday worship music as well as other special services, including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter.
- Lead both contemporary and traditional musical styles.
