Park United Methodist Church is hiring! We are seeking to fill the role of Office Manager. For this part time role, the hours are 9:00 am-1:00 pm Monday through Friday. The responsibilities are:
- Work cooperatively with church staff under the supervision of the Pastor.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Be aware of where Pastor is and how he can be reached in emergencies.
- Organize and maintain the church office (files, equipment, information and supplies).
- Place orders and reorder supplies for office and Kids Corner when low, as well as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc., in bathrooms and kitchen as directed by custodian andchurch leaders. Also schedule maintenance as needed for office equipment.
- Provide Facility Use Form to any person/group seeking to use Park United Methodist Church and provide completed request to Trustee Chairperson. This includes receiving payments and handling arrangements.
- Answer the church telephone, direct calls to appropriate person, take accurate messages and place the messages in appropriate church mailboxes/office.
- Greet and assist visitors/parishioners as able.
- Prepare and print weekly bulletin and organize volunteers to fold for Sunday worship.
- Prepare and print weekly Park Peeks and send via email. Copy to be placed in bulletin.
- Mail Park Peeks to shut-ins.
- Maintain church’s Zoom account. Send regular notices of monthly meetings via email.
- Oversee the church calendar.
- Retrieve mail and place in appropriate church mailboxes.
- Read emails sent to church, responding appropriately.
- Assist Pastor with copying, typing and filing and work closely with Pastor on projects.
- Copy, prepare labels and mail church documents, organizing a volunteer work group when necessary.
- Type and copy material provided by church committee chairs (provided they are given with sufficient time to complete).
- Oversee church files (Trustee files and Administrative files), providing church information to church committee chairs when requested.
- Collaborate with Pastor and Membership Team with keeping membership list up to date.
- Maintain lists of baptisms and deaths.
- Participate in an annual evaluation with the Pastor and bi-annually with Staff Parish Liaisons.
- Report staff hours to payroll company and handle checks for the staff (including Kids Corner). Maintain payroll and I-9 files.
- Maintain prayer list on website.
- Manage Worship Leader schedule.
- Maintain Shepherd’s Staff church member database.
- Report music title usage on the CCLI website.
