North Wildwood UMC has added $105,000 to their existing account with the United Methodist Stewardship Foundation of Greater New Jersey

NORTH WILDWOOD – “Our congregation has been blessed with the opportunity to invest funds with Wespath Investment Management a global and sustainable investment agency, through the United Methodist Church Stewardship Foundation of Greater New Jersey,” said Christiann Griffith, Co-Treasurer of the North Wildwood UMC in North Wildwood, NJ. “Our decision to invest involved Wespath’s record of a successful investment strategy, and beyond that an appreciation that Wespath takes a very active role in engaging corporations, shareholders and policy makers to be mindful of the social principles of the United Methodist Church.  This engagement has been successful in influencing large companies to be mindful of socio-economic and environmental issues around the world including climate change, human rights and board diversity.  They make a difference in the world through investment in affordable housing, jobs, and small loans to entrepreneurs in emerging markets.  There is a positive impact on energy efficiency, renewable energy, water infrastructure and pollution control.

Wespath’s mission is broad and inspiring.  While we all hope to make a difference in our local church and in our community, our decision to invest through Wespath offers the opportunity to also make a difference in the world.  We thank God for the opportunity to serve in His name.  Ours is a small voice in this complex world, but is magnified through the principles of the United Methodist Church and our investments through the Stewardship Foundation.”
