Praise the LORD. Give thanks, for God is good; the love of the Lord endures forever.
-Psalm 106:1

Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

This Thanksgiving, I give thanks for each of you and the ministries of United Methodists in Greater New Jersey. I give thanks for the more than $346,000 contributed by our churches for hurricane relief. We also received 33 pallets of supplies that were loaded into a container and sent to the people of Puerto Rico as a part of Esperanza for Puerto Rico. Miracles are happening everywhere because God is at work through you. God is good and the love of the Lord endures forever.

I give thanks for how one of our smaller congregations, worshiping 35 people, is connecting with its community and two weeks ago, welcomed 150 worshippers. God is good and the love of the Lord endures forever.

Recently I learned of a lifesaving medical mission conducted by the Wings of the Morning. United Methodists in Greater New Jersey raised money to refurbish the airplane Wings of the Morning for medical miracles in the Congo Area. God is good and the love of the Lord endures forever.

Whether at home or around the world, God is at work saving lives through you. Thank you.

In this season of Thanksgiving, Beverly and I praise God for you and give thanks for the opportunity to serve God in Greater New Jersey.

Happy Thanksgiving

John
