Also launches new website to resource planned giving investments

The United Methodist Stewardship Foundation of Greater New Jersey is moving its ministry to the next level, in hopes of helping the churches it serves to do the same.

The foundation has a brand new, resource-rich website (www.gnjfoundation.org). And it will sponsor a Stewardship & Generosity Summit at Haddonfield United Methodist Church April 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Plans are for the full-day summit to be an annual event for GNJ and Eastern PA lay and clergy leadership teams who want to grow consistent giving and viable stewardship ministries in their churches. Register today for the April 18 Stewardship & Generosity Summit-Registration Link.

Rev. Scott McKenzie, PhD-Partner with Horizons Stewardship, will lead the summit. As a national workshop leader, conference speaker, author and coach, Scott inspires people to live joy-filled generous lives. He brings extensive experience and insights about what is working to grow generosity in congregations across the country. One of his latest work as co-author is The Generosity Challenge

“This event is designed to be a time of revival, where honest assessment of our challenges will be discussed with practical applications that leaders can take back to their congregations and implement,” said the Rev. Brian Roberts, the Foundation’s Executive Director.

New website to bolster planned giving, investment wisdom

The new website offers information and resources to aid in encouraging planned giving and smart financial investment choices. “We want to help churches grow grace-rooted generosity and faith-aligned impactful investments that can provide for present and future ministry,” Roberts said.

The website will offer information about the GNJ Foundation but also about Wespath Benefits and Investments. He calls it a “living platform” that will grow more robust with new content to help users continually move their stewardship knowledge and practices to the next level.
