This year, our Camp & Retreat Ministries directors formed a task force to create a brand new curriculum for our overnight summer camp programs at Gretna Glen, Innabah, and Pocono Plateau.
Throughout the winter months, a dedicated team of staff and volunteers collaborated to develop something for such a time as this. Inspired by John Wesley’s wisdom, they centered the curriculum on a powerful and practical theme:
Three Simple Rules: Do Good, Do No Harm, Love God
Theme Verse:
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 (NIV)
Daily Themes:
- Do No Harm: Set Aside Sin
- Do Good: Seek Justice
- Do Good: Love Mercy
- Love God: Walk Humbly with God
- Love God: Make Disciples
We are excited for the ways God will move through this new curriculum as campers grow in their faith and understanding. Please join us in praying for both campers and staff as they share this with thousands of children, youth and adults this summer. Pray that hearts will be open, lives will be transformed, and these lessons will inspire action in their homes and communities.

Would you consider volunteering for a week as a counselor? This is a meaningful opportunity to mentor children and youth as they grow in their relationship with Christ.
Invitation to clergy: One week of service at camp is included in the Book of Discipline. So you do not need to take vacation to come be a part of summer camp, come join us. New this year, conference staff are invited to serve for a week at one of our sites without needing to use vacation time. What an amazing opportunity to be a part of this vital ministry!
