The Commission on the General Conference recently announced their election of a Director of Worship for General Conference 2028… and it is Greater New Jersey’s own YoungKwang “YK” Jun! Congratulations on this incredible achievement, YoungKwang!

Deep gratitude is extended for the support of the Greater New Jersey Conference. Since 2015, the many opportunities to lead worship within GNJ have played a significant role in shaping this journey. Along the way, the encouragement, support, patience, and trust of GNJ siblings have been a constant source of strength, and for this, I am deeply and sincerely grateful.
As this new responsibility begins, your prayers and encouragement would be deeply appreciated. There is much to discern and prepare in the days ahead, trusting that the Holy Spirit will guide each step. It is my hope that this work will help foster meaningful, Spirit-led worship that reflects the beauty and diversity of our global United Methodist connection.
Once again, I am truly humbled by the support and love of GNJ siblings, and I look forward to worshiping together at General Conference 2028.
