Attention all inquiring, exploring and certified candidates for pastoral ministry! You are invited to Orientation for Ministry, on April 20, 2026 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Zoom.

Whether you are just sensing a call to ministry, or you have begun to take the steps towards being licensed, we would like to invite you to a conversation to help you to discern God’s path for you and provide you with resources to use for your journey.

Pastors, if there is someone in your church who has expressed interest or curiosity about a call to ministry, please encourage them to attend the orientation!

Orientation to Ministry is required by the Book of Discipline for all candidates for both Licensed and Ordained Ministry. While this session of Orientation for Ministry is for anyone considering pastoral ministry, all candidates who wish to be considered for an appointment in 2026 will need to take this class. This is the only time GNJ will offer this class this year.

Orientation to Ministry is presented by The Board of Ordained Ministry which supports those on the journey towards ordination and encourages clergy to fulfill their purpose and live their call meaningfully.
