Frances Nelson Scholarship
Annual award or awards will be given to undergraduate students who are United Methodists. Applicants must have a goal of full time Christian service following graduation. Yearly application is required, but previous recipients will be given priority up to four years of college. Financial need shall be one consideration in awarding this scholarship. This scholarship is sponsored by the United Methodist Women of Greater New Jersey.

Urban Scholarship Fund
This scholarship aims to provide urban students with the opportunity to attend a full-day school program. It is designed to support students who may face financial barriers to accessing academic opportunities, and to promote academic success and personal growth.

Phyllis Jane Stetser Scholarship
$100 High School/Undergraduate College-Mission Opportunity outside of United States for books, travel expenses or registration fees requested 3 months prior to departure.

Conference Scholarship
Student Day Rebate – General Board of Ed UM Merit Scholarships – UM Students enrolled in a full-time degree program – no more than $1,000 per year per student

Doris and Arthur Mandeville Scholarship Applications for 2026
(for full-time/permanent part-time graduate students)

The Mandeville Scholarship program began over 30 years ago, through a generous gift from Doris and Arthur Mandeville to Epworth Methodist Church. Since that time, over $250,000 in scholarships have been awarded to more than 100 individual recipients.
Today, we encourage applications from full-time/permanent part-time graduate students who are members of the United Methodist Church in New Jersey and preparing for ordained ministry or Christian education. Awards are based on financial need, with academic achievement, church involvement, and community involvement also taken into consideration. Note that preference will be given to those applicants who plan to serve in New Jersey after graduation.

Greater New Jersey Educational Society
Scholarships awarded on an annual basis for seminary or graduate students preparing for the ordained ministry (Deacon or Elder) in Greater New Jersey. Loans are also available for seminary and undergraduate students entering the Christian ministry in Greater New Jersey. For an application, contact the President of Educational Society, Rev. Francis Asbury Award 
Named for early American Methodist Bishop Francis Asbury, this award honors his call to establish a school in the vicinity of every church. Today, the award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to fostering United Methodist ministries in higher education at the local, district or annual conference level. Centenary College United Methodist Scholarships
Centenary College is historically related to the United Methodists. They make scholarships available to eligible applicants who are confirmed, active members of the United Methodists. These scholarships are $10,000 annually and are renewable providing students maintain satisfactory academic progress. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must reside on campus.
