* In the absence of Annual Conference action, the current guidelines for 2020 will remain in place for the time being. However, in setting salaries for 2021, congregations may wish to consider that the cost of living for the previous year increased by 1.6% and, where possible, may want to include that in setting salaries for persons under appointment.
The Clergy Compensation Report is used to set the pastoral compensation for those under appointment by the Bishop to a church. This report insures that pastors are receiving a salary consistent with GNJ’s equitable salary guidelines, as well as appropriate benefits based on their conference relationship and appointment status. This form should be completed by the SPRC chair for each pastor under appointment.
