Arcola Korean United Methodist Church is comprised of 75% Korean immigrants and 25% second-generation Korean Americans. Arcola Covenant Community (ACC) is AKUMC’s English Ministry program mostly involving Korean Americans. ACC holds two Sunday contemporary-style services (11:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.) with the first serving mostly married couples between the ages of 30 and 60 and the second serving college students and young professionals. There is a mid-week service on Wednesday’s at 8:00 pm and Morning Prayer on Saturday’s at 8:00 am. ACC takes part in several local and global outreach ministries. Covenant United Methodist Church is primarily a multi-cultural church. They have church service at 10:30 a.m. and the service style is traditional with some contemporary elements on some Sundays. They use the hymnal, The Faith We Sing, and an African American Spiritual hymnal as well. They have an active UMW, host several fundraisers and offer scholarships to our youth in the congregation.
