Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
Christ United Methodist Church is seeking a Part-Time Director of Music Ministry to oversee the musical life of the church, coordinating elements that inspire excellent, heartfelt congregational singing and praise. The Music Director will have oversight of all music related ministries including programs, choirs, and events. That includes but is not limited to recruiting and managing any hired supplemental musicians, planning music for weekly worship in collaboration with the Senior Pastor, seasonal worship experiences with the Worship committee (led by the Senior Pastor), and other related events. The right candidate will communicate regularly with choir and music ministry members, maintain a planned calendar of events, and will recruit new voices and volunteers. This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor and Executive Leadership board.
