About Myounghun Yun
Myounghum earned his Master of Divinity at Emory Candler School of Theology and Sacred Theology of Master at Yale Divinity School. Myounghun is currently completing his PhD in Religion, Psychology, and Culture at Vanderbilt University with a specialization in pastoral/practical theology. Myounghun has taught courses at New Brunswick Theological Seminary and has been recently appointed as an affiliate faculty member. He has worked at a hospice, hospitals, a domestic violence shelter, and Korean American churches. Myounghun is married to Soyoun and they have two children, Emma and Nathan. He loves playing the indigenous musical instruments, sports, watching movies, and fishing.

Asbury UMC is a small town church with a long history of being a connectional church. The style of worship has been traditional. They have a choir, children’s Sunday School, and adult classes. Two women’s circles are active. They support Family Promise and the Disciples Food Pantry. An on-going kitchen renovation has been completed and the congregation looks forward to opportunities for fellowship over meals.
