Sept. 16, 23, 30 |  7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Growing in the spiritual discipline of generosity helps individuals grow in discipleship and assists the congregation in making ministry come alive! This workshop will use the Breakthrough Stewardship Worship Series “All In” as the content for the annual giving campaign. In this course you will learn how to celebrate your church’s ministry through the implementation of a stewardship campaign.

Together we will reflect theologically and biblically on generosity, explore the pastor’s and laity’s role in a campaign, ways to gather the campaign team, review the worship, small group and campaign materials, introduce a narrative budget, and share best practices for personal testimonies on generosity.

This course will take place over three evenings and will provide your church steps to take for a wholistic stewardship campaign. You will leave with a timeline for implementing an annual giving campaign and concreate ways to engage church leadership.

*This course is recommended for finance committee chairpersons, stewardship committee members, church council chairpersons and pastors. While not necessary, it is recommended that a team from a congregation attend this course together.

Facilitators: Rev. Jana Purkis-Brash, Executive Director of the Stewardship Foundation and Rev. Deb De Vos, Associate Pastor of Trinity UMC in Hackettstown
