Every local church strives to begin the new year financially strong. On Tuesday, January 7, there will be an opportunity for pastors and finance teams to develop a 12-month action plan in a guided stewardship working session with Rev. Jana Purkis-Brash, Executive Director of the United Methodist Stewardship Foundation, and Michaela Murray-Nolan, Director of Development.
The day will be split into three optional segments. Clergy are invited to participate in all three segments or as many as they would like. The morning and afternoon sessions are for clergy only, and the evening session is for both clergy and their finance teams. Details about each segment are below. Registration is required for each segment.
Morning Session (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
Clergy will gather to begin the process of reframing thinking around how to lead in growing a congregation in generosity. We will walk through a 12-month stewardship plan in preparation for the evening working session where church finance teams can join as well. Please click here to register for this morning session.
Afternoon Session (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
The afternoon session is an opportunity to address a specific finance or stewardship need. This will be a time of individual, one-on-one clergy consultations. Clergy may register for one 45-minute private consultation in one of the available areas below. Please click here to register and to select your time slot. Please note only 16 slots are available.

Evening Session (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
Come as a team! Clergy and finance teams are invited to come for an action planning session. Teams will work together to develop a 12-month plan for growing in generosity for your congregation. In this session, the goal is to develop an annual plan, put it on the calendar, and then strategize on an accountability plan to meet your goal. This evening session will be most productive if clergy and finance teams attend together. Please click here to register your church.
