Free Opioid Overdose Prevention & NARCAN Training

Help reverse an opioid overdose and save lives. As the opioid crisis continues to grow, opioid overdose deaths are devastating families and communities across our country. Faith leaders and communities can help lower those numbers by training people on the use of Naloxone (NARCAN) which is a medication designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. Park United Methodist Church in Bloomfield and the Gateway North District, in collaboration with Bloomfield Health & Human Services and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, invite you to attend the free online NARCAN training.

The training will include:

  • Overdose Prevention Strategies
  • Signs and Symptoms of an Overdose
  • How to Administer Naloxone
  • Rescue Breathing
  • Overdose Prevention Legal Rights
  • Support Information and Resources
  • Free Naloxone Kits (to the first 25 people that sign up and attend each training Note: Kits may not look the same as reflected in the picture, one kit per person, must be 18 years of age or older)
