Inspire, energize and motivate local congregations through high quality resourcing
As the 2019 church conference season begins, we thank you for the continued work that you do on behalf of your church. On this webpage, you will find instructions and resources available to assist you in completing the church conference reports for your church. All reports are due by September 23.
Many of these reports are completed online in the Arena database for which a login is needed. This information was sent to pastors, churches, SPRC chairs, and lay servants during the week of July 1. The remaining reports are submitted by email to your Regional Administrator.
As this next season of church conferences begins, it may be helpful to identify someone in your church that can help translate these reports and assist with completing them as they must be submitted in English. If you have any questions or need assistance, we are here to help. Please contact your Regional Administrator with any questions.

La temporada de conferencias de la iglesia de 2019 ha comenzado y queremos agradecerte el trabajo continuo que realizas en nombre de tu iglesia. En esta página web, encontrarás instrucciones y recursos disponibles para ayudarte a completar los informes de la conferencia para tu iglesia. El plazo para presentar todos los informes es el 23 de septiembre.

Church Conferences, sometimes called Charge Conferences, are annual meetings with church leaders and their district superintendent or a presiding elder to review the business and mission of the local church. Each conference will review the previous year of ministry, complete essential church business and affirm goals for the coming year.
In GNJ, we foster collaboration by holding conferences in regional groups to push us beyond our own boundaries to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. These pages provide you with the resources you need to complete your paperwork by the September 23 deadline and to schedule your congregation to join in a day of inspiration and resourcing.
Paperwork Deadline for all Churches | September 23
Completing the church paperwork and submitting it on time is a precursor to a fruitful church conference. Starting early will make the task easier. It is the pastor’s responsibility to ensure all church conference paperwork is completed properly and submitted by the deadline.

Below are the reports that you need to print and bring to the church conference.
Please print enough copies for all participants from your church as well as an additional copy of these reports for your presiding elder.

The Arena database is where you will complete many, but not all of the church conference reports. Different leadership roles will receive different logins depending on the report you are responsible for completing. It is important that you do not share your login with others.
To access Arena, please use this link: http://member.gnjumc.org/. If you are receiving a new login, please expect to receive this email during the week of July 1, 2019. Please check your spam and junk folders for this email if you do not see it.
Accessing Arena requires a username and password. Your leadership role determines the type of login you will use.
- The church will continue to use the same login as last year. It will be emailed directly to the senior pastor, church council chair, trustees president, lay leader, and the church email address. This will give the church access to complete the following reports: Directory of Officials, Report of the Trustees, Parsonage Evaluation, and Congregational Appraisal.
- The SPRC chair will continue to use the same login as last year. This login will be emailed directly to the SPRC chair. This will be different from the church login and will be used solely to complete the Church Profile report.
- Pastors, Lay Servants, and Certified Lay Ministers are to continue using the same login as last year.
