What is Cooperative School of Christian Mission?

This annual education opportunity, offered at two locations, is the ticket to effective mission ministry for local churches across the Greater New Jersey Conference.

The Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Greater New Jersey Conference of United Methodist Women co-sponsor and present these schools.

The schools are held at university campuses and provide fabulous food, dorm rooms and the campus experience.

Each year, there is a Spiritual Growth, a Geographic, a General Issues, and a Conference study offered, with a Spanish language and a Korean language class; helping to understand God?s work in the world, how United Methodists are involved, what challenges individuals face in their personal lives and local congregations.

The Cooperative School of Christian Missions is for all, not just the Women; bring men, children, pastors, and friends!  Make it a family retreat!

To encourage new people to attend the School, First Time Attendees to the whole weekend program will not pay the tuition fee.  You will only need to pay the housing and food fee.  That's a $40 discount!

Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing.
