Camping Ministry Positions Available
The United Methodist Camps of Greater New Jersey is seeking a full time Director to oversee the ministries of its camps located at Aldersgate and Pinelands Center. The Director has primary administrative responsibility at both Aldersgate Center and Pinelands Center and is responsible for promotion, camp leader recruitment and training, program design and general administration of the camping and retreat program that takes place at the Camps. In addition, he/she will participate in and implement other promotion, recruitment, training, program and administrative duties as assigned by the United Methodist Camps of Greater New Jersey.
The Director will serve as a full time employee of the United Methodist Camps of Greater New Jersey and will be provided with housing and benefits. The desired candidate upon hire should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, theological training, an understanding of ACA accreditation, a certificate in Camping ministries (either CCD or UMC) a valid Commercial Drivers License and be First Aid/CPR certified. Director must be a minimum of 25 years of age at time of hire. Candidates should have a positive interest with the United Methodist Church and experience with Christian Camping ministries.
