The baseball season began and with it a wonderful opportunity for members of your congregation to strengthen fellowship between each other.  Saturday, July 26, 2008 is going to be United Methodist Night at the Philadelphia Phillies!

United Methodists from Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey areas are invited to this special recognition day at the ballpark.  All churches in attendance will have their name in lights on the big announcement board during the game!

This is a great opportunity to take a group of baseball fans (and lovers of hotdogs) to see a terrific game as the Phillies take on the Atlanta Braves.  Not only will you enjoy an evening of baseball, but also for every ticket sold, the Phillies organization will donate up to $5 to the Greater New Jersey Conference.  These funds will support our United Methodist Men in their mission and ministries.  It's a win-win situation for The United Methodist Church and especially the United Methodist Men!

So spread the word!  Sell tickets! Complete the enclosed order form and send it back to the Phillies Group Sales Office.  You don't have to be United Methodist to be part of the fun, so invite your friends and neighbors, too!  Get a busload of people to make the trip to the ballpark a fun-filled day for everyone!
