I'm just a regular member of Clinton UMC and have a passion for stewardship as it enhances our intimacy with the Lord. Our church needs some ongoing stewardship teaching and we're excited about getting this going. Any info would be appreciated, but mosly, please pray for us.
Good Morning Rich. I am a co-chair at Trinity UMC in Hackettstown on the Stewardship Ministry this year. My partner and I would like to somehow either meet or phone conference with you for ideas that we can use all year round in our own membership. We have a very active membership and wish to make Stewardship a top of mind ministry, not just at the time of the pledge campaign. Pastor Fowler suggested we contact you. What is the best way?

Blair,
We just lanched this forum yesterday so welcome as the first contributor! I'm the Stewardship Coordinator for the Annual Conference and am hoping that this forum will be a place where we can share ideas, concerns, successes, etc. with each other.
I just noticed this forum and would be happy to be engaged in an ongoing discussion of Stewardship. I am the Minister of Stewardship, Education and Pastoral Care at UMC of Red Bank and previously worked for 20+ years in professional fund-raising in New York City. My area of expertise is Planned Giving and church capital campaigns. Stewardship is fundamentally different from fund-raising, however. Wesley had his own take on it, too.
Anyone want to jump in?
