"Foods from the Bible"

In the land of milk and honey there were also figs, dates, hyssop, and artichokes. Many of these items we take for granted in today's society.

Learn how various foods and meals from thousands of years ago differ from today. There will be a small display of various fresh and dried fruits, beans, and spices. Copies of recipes will be available after the lecture.

Afternoon Workshops:

Or 3. "Japanese Tea Ceremony" with Ann Wilson

Everyone is welcome to attend the Conference UMW Spring Meeting featuring Judith Krall-Russo speaking about "Foods from the Bible."  In addition, three afternoon workshops can be selected from:  "Living in Each Season" with Cynthia Kent; "Our Church's Commitment to Feeding the Poor and Sheltering the Homeless" coordinated by Carol Vacchiano;  "Japanese Tea Ceremony" with Ann Wilson.  Canned Goods for Food Bank and UMCOR Health Kits will be collected for the Ingathering.  If you want lunch for $8, please reserve by April 15.  Registration and directions are in the Spring Voices of Purpose GNJUMW newsletter and on the GNJUMW website www.gbgm-umc.org/gnjumw/
